The Great Depletion - Film Screening at WALKING BOX RANCH!

Join Friends of Avi Kwa Ame at Walking Box Ranch for a special morning exploring one of the Southwest's most precious resources — water.

The morning begins with a guided tour of the historic Walking Box Ranch House at 9:00 a.m., followed by a film screening from 10:00–11:00 a.m.

The featured documentary follows a filmmaker and a biologist as they embark on a remarkable 112-mile journey from the mountains above Las Vegas, across the Mojave Desert, to the Colorado River. Along the way, they discover how the growing water crisis in the American West is reshaping the lives of birds, wildlife, and the communities that depend on this vital resource.

The film offers a powerful look at the connections between people, wildlife, and water in one of the driest regions of North America. It is an inspiring opportunity to learn more about the challenges facing our desert ecosystems and the importance of conserving the watersheds that sustain them.
