JUNIOR RANGER DAY EVENTS
Join us at Walking Box Ranch for a day of fun family-friendly activities! Learn about Avi Kwa Ame National Monument, plants, geology, mining, history, wilderness and more. Participate in fun activities, collect stamps on your stamp card, and receive a Junior Ranger Badge and Certificate.
No need to RSVP. Come any time between 10AM and 2PM. Bring a picnic and enjoy the day with us!
Activities will include:
Learn about traditional grinding methods, and try your hand at grinding beans with mano and metate, traditional stone tools
Touch and feel replica petroglyphs and pictographs
Learn about safety and the essentials of outdoor recreation
Learn about campfire safety and play a game with local wildfire crews
Create your own seed balls using clay, seeds and potting soil
Learn about geology and mining and check out rock and mineral specimens
and more!
