Alina Lindquist: Between Waking and Dreaming
Walking Box Ranch is now home to the Avi Kwa Ame Gallery—a gallery space currently featuring the artwork of Alina Lindquist, Mystery Ranch artist-in-residence.
Join us for drinks and refreshments as we celebrate the opening reception of Alina Lindquist’s new show, Between Waking & Dreaming. The work on display has come out of Alina’s residency within Avi Kwa Ame and has culminated in the first solo-artist exhibition series about our newly designated national monument. We are proud to display it here, in our new Avi Kwa Ame Gallery. Artists have always been a crucial part of the storytelling process of sharing our nation’s protected landscapes with the public, and Waking and Dreaming continues this tradition in describing both the physical beauty of this landscape in elegant textures, colors and forms, and the many moods of the space, like excitement, solace, hopefulness and calm. Taken in its entirety, one can start to catch a glimpse of the essence of Avi Kwa Ame, somewhere between the day’s adventures and the world of dreams.
A tour of the ranch house will begin at 2pm, followed by the reception. A brief artist talk will take place at 3pm.
